Not to rain on your gay parade or anything...

Keep in mind that even though we tweaked the filter, the rule (as described in the stickies above) still stands.  Use of "gay", or synonyms thereof, in an insulting or derogatory manner, is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.

"Gay" was defiltered not because of a rule change, but specifically to allow for its use in legitimate political discourse.

So - gay it up all you want, but keep in mind that I've got my skull-cracking button all lined up and ready to go.

I may not be gay myself, but I don't see why I should object to gays.

This may not be the best way to look at it, but I have absolutely no problem with lesbians, emotionally or otherwise.  The mental image of two guys making out does make me uncomfortable, but then I think about lesbians and realize that I have absolutely nothing to complain about, as long as I'm not the one in the makeout between guys.

I'm a guy ... I am NOT a lesbian trapped in a man's body, nor do I have any right to tell any other dude who they have or have not the right to kiss or whatever. (unless it's me ^_^)
