I have a general idea of what an e-bolt is, but I want to know why they are so good, and why there not made any more.

The ebolt was an upgrade for the model 98/98custom markers. It made the more like a true electronic marker such as an angel,timmy,etc...

It took away the sear, rear bolt, cocking knob, and spring. Replacing it with a ram,'noid, and almost flat like rear bolt, electronic board and thus having a trigger switch.

Made the marker better by having a ligther trigger pull, reducing some of the kick and allowing faster rates of fire due to the electronics.

The only real draw back to the ebolt was the ram was not a two way as you would find in a timmay and it used a spring inside the ram housing to reset it so even with the centerfeed mod and a forcefeed hopper the fastet you could actually get the marker to fire without chopping paint was 15-16 bps.

Now with a modded ram and board the marker would fire as fast as you could pull the trigger. (search natual newbie) As he made a custom e-98.

As for the reason they stoped making them I can only guess is due to price, The ebolt ran $250 new plus the cost of the marker its self $150-200 that's almost $500, One one could by a shocker or a good used electronic marker for that so they was generally unpopular.
Also it would be cheaper to produce the sear tipper mod that they have out now.But I did like my ebolt...

I miss it!

Anyways if I didn't fully answer the topic as I could have made the post a lot longer, just feel free to p.m. me!

Yes, if you are interested in getting one, visit pbnation.com or model98.org.

You can get a used one for $80-150
