We play some home grown woodsball. We purchased 6 98c with ACT for Christmas, and still could use 2-4 more markers. I see old 98s on eBay pretty reasonable. Are they worth it? What is the basic difference between the od 98 and the 98c? Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum. The basic difference is the "c" for "custom". The 98c has a variety of drop-in upgrades available, and is generally easier to tweak. With the regular 98, anything beyond a new barrel will require more serious tinkering skills. In their base configuration, they both shoot exactly the same. The difference only matters if you have upgrade plans for the future. The other difference is that the regular 98 has gills, which some people think is sexy. |
