I have been talking to some people in the E-Cocker section of PBN about this trade, so I figured I would implore the help of my trusted Tippy forum members as well.

I am thinking about trading my E98 for a Cocker. This would be a straight up trade, gun for gun. I am trying to sell the 98 and have been looking for a cocker, so this only seems logical.

E98
98 Custom
Rufus Dawg Centerfeed
Mini Morlock Board (Accesories: Two sets of eyes, extra wires, extra header, battery harness, microswitch)
Intimidator Solenoid (With quick disconnect wired in)
Two way GTA ram
Torpedo Regulator
LPK
GTA LPR
CP Rail
Quickstrip mod

Cocker (short list)
STO Body
E1
mQ (NIB 1st Generation)
And yes, the gun comes with all of the parts needed to operate, it just isn't pictured with them.

Let me know what you guys think.

It shoots great for a 98, but I hate playing speed with it. I need something lighter/smaller.

Go for it. If you find you dont like it and want something else, you'd probably get a better trade out of it than the E98.

You know my thoughts on MQ valves... Heck you could Hock that thing on E-bay and buy another '98 with what you'd get for it!

The guy is having second thoughts because I quick stripped the gun. I am trying to explain to him the benefits of it.

Carl, seriously, do you have ANY clue as to what that 'cocker's valve alone is worth? One just sold on E-bay for over $200. E-1's go for around $100 on the low end, BOTH are discontinued and becoming increasingly rare to find. The PBX MQ valve removes all of the sear-tripping components out of the e-blade making the sucker infinitely lighter in the rear and, with proper tuning, QEV's and the right software, can reach up to 40+ FULL cycles per second. You'd be hard pressed to find a loader that can even keep up! Yes, the '98 is impressive and a one-of-a-kind, but we're talking about valuable equipment that Karll will be picking up in this trade that he can take with him to other markers, not just the one he's got right there. If he wanted to pick up a new body, he can. If he wants to pick up a Race Frame, he can, if he wants to part it all out, he'd probably make more money than he'd get for the '98. It's an insanely good deal. In the sense of the MQ valve being included, it's even better than the deal DeTrevni is working out right now, and almost equally as good as the ultimate little beast I'm working on getting. Karll will be able to hold down an entire team himself with that thing. Going up against him will be like going up against a mini-hawk in real life. You just don't do it.

Haha, that post made my day.

What exactly are you trying to pick up right now? I had a feeling you were working on something, I just have no idea what.

I hope DeTrevni picks up the Freeflow cocker. I will hit him if he goes for the tactical.

I'm thinking about a zero b board for this cocker. Thoughts and opinions?

Oh, zero-b all the way man! helps with the battery efficiency and really allows you to just lay some paint.

I'm looking at the Race'd MQ'ed cocker that '99GenX has up for sale still. I'm also looking at a Race'd Evolution (no mq, blind) and a few other options like shelling out more than I'd ever want to for an Osiris.

I'll be putting up a WTB in MCB to make sure everything comes out of the woodwork before I make a definitive decision.

Here's the Evo:

I was pleasantly surprised to see stores still carrying the zero b. I thought it had been discontinued. I will be picking on up shortly.

I am going to be jealous if you get the MQ Race from 99GenX, but I will have my own toy to keep me happy. The Evolution is really nice as well.

Do Race frames have any huge advantage or disadvantage over Eblades, particularly a Zero B. Just wondering where I will be standing.

Well, instead of having to put in a whole new board, you just flash the latest software from your computer right to the board. Raceguns.dk updates the firmware and software every so often. Also, you can mess around with your settings and test things out with your computer instead of the good-old trial and error method used with most marker systems.

Ah well, that doesn't bother me TOO much. Race frame is a little out of my reach right now. The zero b and maybe an ego frame would make me happy. I am chomping at the bit to get this darn gun in.

Make sure you're very careful putting in the MQ valve. Don't shear the wires or you'll have to re-solder and shrink-wrap them. So long as you follow the instructions, you should be fine. The Zero-B on that E-Frame is going to make that thing blaze!

Yea, I am going to be extra careful. I have read and re-read and will re-read the directions on Kerry and Moody's sites.

If I halfblock the gun, then I won't need my back block anymore right? And if I take of the back block, then I won't need to worry about reinstalling my cocking rod right? So that should eliminate any worry of crushing my solenoid. Or, at least I hope it does.

yep, half-blocking will do wonders when it comes to the MQ. You'll have an improved cycle rate too. Less mass to move around. Make sure you QEV the heck out of your ram.
