Vecolicty screw

hey everyone i just clean my custom pro and before i started i read u should screw in the velcity screw so i did and everything is fine but i was wondering how do u check like how much velocity it running? like 260-300. I think there some kind of a machine that checks it, i never gotten it test to see so i was just wondering.

 

There is no position of the velocity screw that gives you a specific velocity. The marker must be chronographed. Good used chronos are occasionally available on Ebay...I have bought both a table top style, used at many fields, and a new Radar-X handheld. It gives me peace of mind. It also lets me adjust velocity correctly when testing and getting set up correctly at home.

But at least take RoBoCop's advice and have it checked at a field or a paintball pro shop. It is dangerous to play with a marker that may be set at too high a velocity.

Of course the "VELOCITY" screw controls "VELOCITY." Just you have no way of knowing at what velocity the paintball is traveling without a chronograph. There is no specific number of turns or amount of protrusion or any other visual clue by looking at the screw, or randomly turning it, that even remotely indicates the ball velocity.
