So as of late, I have been picking up 98 Customs like pieces of paper... and latley, I have turned into a total... Whore. in the past month I have scooped up three 98 Customs... I have had my E-98 custom pro for along time, but latley... wozerz! I have gotten alot of paintball guns.
Traded my Bass for this one.  Traded my 03' Cocker for this one.  bought this little beauty off the nation for dirt cheap  (problem is, Microswitch is snapped off, need to send it to tippmann for a repair... BADLY.) The marker that has been with me since the departure of my... old Glorious E98c.  All the markers are really stock, I mean they all have a fire power upgrade, but still they all need an over haul. The Red/Black RT-98c is going to stay as it is, the only thing I'm upgrading on that is new Expanion chamber(x-core), on/off system, and a Cyclone The White/black Rt-98c is going to get a flatline and a on/off ASA with a expansion chamber The E98CP is going to get a Expansion chamber, and an On/off System and possibly one other thing not sure though. I might possibly give it a LPK with a palmer but not sure. The E98c... if this little beauty can be fixed by Tippmann(I hope to god) This is the marker that wont be used/upgraded for along time. Once I muster up lots of cash... it's not even going to look the same, but... this not until probably next spring... "Maybe" Edited by Panda Man - 14 May 2007 at 3:09am |

Simple. I really don't like cockers... I don't mind as saying "Borrowing" one for a game to get a kick out of the whole back-block thing... but I have had way to much bad luck with them and it was just time for mine to go... it sucked and thats all there is to it. I've said this in the past... I really do like wrapping my fingers around Tippmanns, I always have... I've played with an Ion(too.. gross feeling, and it felt like I was playing with a Toy gun) Shockers(to much upkeep on them) Intimidators(loved it... loved it a lot, but I can't pay for the paint prices that come out of them) System-X NME(Had a yucky feeling to it) Pimps(to much "breaking" them in type of thing) DM4(<Read Intimidator>). So that leaves me with a few choices, Palmer, WGP, and Tippmann. I have only once shot a blazer, that thing was awesome, but like Palmer they charge an arm and a leg for them, and cockers... well I went over that(inconsistent paper weight) so it seems like the only thing I do like are Tippmanns, they are as long as a Boeing 747, and weight about that much, but damn it, I know when I gas up my Tippmann I have at least 180 balls of rock n' roll without having to worry about any "leaks" or chances are that a 1mm little spring might wanna all of sudden break. Edit: Hybrid. I know ya miss it, we all do.  She'll be back next Spring, I'm going to do the same to this one as I did my old, almost down to the last screw... except since Technology has gotten a little more "player" friendly a few parts will change, not many though.Edited by Panda Man - 15 May 2007 at 10:48am |

That's alot of 98's. Seems like you'd slide in an a-5 in there somewhere. From all of the horror stories you may have heard I've seen ALOT of a-5's that absolutely rock. A spring in a Tippmann can break just as easily as any other gun. |

^True. Though I use C02 almost exclussively(no one in this town sells HPA(I've called Everyone)) and alot of markers now run off HPA and I don't have that quick of an Access to it.
So I like to build my markers around the Fact 99% of the time I will be using C02. Though, as much as I'd like, the E98c will not even breathe a breath of C02. I'm getting my Brother in-law into the sport now too and He really likes the feel of an A5 so I might find one off the nation I can buy for him dirt cheap, or see my brick and mortar store could do, I don't mind A5's I really do like a Low pressure R/T A5, like I was going to buy in April till I started planning my Gun whoring. The c02 vs. hpa thing is weighing very heavy on my next gun decision. Until I see a high end that dramtically outperforms my 2 Impulses I'm set. I'm thinking a-5 or PCS us-5 next.

^yea I do like pulses the two I had, no problems what so ever, but their old technology now and no one makes cool parts for them anymore. The only thing I hated with my pulses was the Height thing... I don't like the idea of if you wanted to off yourself all you need is to get a Impulse with a Egg on it. strap it down and jump off it.

lol. the height of the pulse makes the site picture perfect for me with a very comfy shooting position. no kinked neck for a good site pic or goose necking needed to rake the trigger. At the Tippmann World Challenge you get to hear/see THE multitude of guns and I've heard/seen them all. A-5's with a ton of money dumped into them are THE ONLY gun's that make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. They are wicked nasty sounding and you can hear them from along ways away.
