Im a woodsballer and I use typical american camo pants, an olive drab shirt and a CadPat (or DigiCamo) on my mask. I was talking to my friend about camos and which breaks up better. So I was wondering, what breaks up better in terms of camo? Does CaDPat hide better than Woodland camo?

Digi camo is good for most situations and areas because it isn't specific, if you will, and a specific woodland breakup is only mediocore for situations in which the breakup's colors and designs differ largely to matching your surroundings, but when they do match well, they will work better than digi for that specific area. Sorry if thats confusing, but that is my findings.

It seems that the military believes that the digital camo works better since they've switched over to that but woodland isn't bad either. I remember seeing something on TV (history channel maybe) showing why the digital stuff is supposed to work better than the older patterns but I can't remember what the reasoning was. I used to wear all woodland but I recently switched over to digital camo. I don't think it'll make much of a difference but I needed more camo clothes anyway so I thought I'd try out the digital stuff. Honestly, unless you're sitting still, the camo won't do much for you and either one should work nicely if you're not moving and you have a fair amount of brush around you.

I could spot you easily from 50 yards away with a ghillie suit on. You have not had the specialized training that is required to be effective at using a ghillie suit.

Personally, I like the older woodland camo better myself, but Digital camoflauge is the new fad. The thing with digital camoflauge is it is supposedly more verstile. Although, I do not reccomend the Army's new camoflauge, ACUPAT. It's really bad accually.

I don't really care much for the Army's digi stuff either. I got the pattern from specops which basically has the same colors as woodland but with the digital pattern. It's a nice compromise and I think it looks kind of cool. |
