Hi, this is my 98 custom that I have had for about 2 years. I just recently put on the Flatline barrel and I love it. All comments are welcome.

Personally, others might think it plain and boring, but I have always loved the look of a 98c with just a flatline.
It reminds me of a sub-machine gun in some way. A magazine expansion chamber would look cool Edited by kook - 04 July 2007 at 6:59pm |

I'm thinking of putting a response trigger and electric hopper on it And I just play with my friends so I don't really want to put like $500-$1000 into my gun. Including buying the gun I've spent like $250 on it |

I'm really against r/t's. They eat up a ton of gas.
Personally, it would be better money wise to get a cyclone hopper. but they eat up gas also |

Yea, I probably won't get one anyway. I don't really play the heavy on the trigger game, plus just bought a flatline, cost $100 that came out of my paycheck, and i need to start saving up again for my car.

Yea, I was thinking about that alot. Back to the second post on here, I was surprised when I looked up a magazine expansion chamber for my 98C that it was about $60. It could very well be that high as I have never looked at expansion chambers before, but is that a correct price? Heres where I saw the one for $60. I'll probably end up looking stupid thinking that is expensive, but I don't know, I've absolutely never looked at expansion chamber prices. http://www.amazon.com/Tippmann-Tippman-Expansion-Chamber-Mag /dp/B000LSIABW Plus I'm having trouble finding websites selling magazine EC's anyone have any websites? Ok I found a website that sells just a plain mag that really serves no purpose but for looks. It's $35, heres the link http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/product_detail.asp?S KU=211+0052&CAT=107202302404 If I decided to buy one or the other, Buy the cheaper just for looks or buy the more expensive and get looks plus an EC? I am on a budget. Which would you do? Sorry for the long and many times edited post, didn't want to keep putting new posts up. Edited by Tippmann_98C - 05 July 2007 at 12:47am |

The expansion chamber would be the better buy. But don't buy a trinity mag ex chamber, they're ugly on 98's. I forgot what it is called, but there is a brand that fits over the foregrip. If you DO get an x chamber, you will need a forward feed thingie. If you don't know your way around your gun, you will need assistance putting it together

You need an expansion chamber, a vertical tank adapter and a new hose if you want it to not to be all bent.

Not bad. If you're going for the milsim look and are on a budget, just go with the mag. In the future you may decide to add a stock, which would require you to use a remote line, which does the same thing as an expansion chamber.

IMHO, the mag expansion chambers look like CRAP on 98 Customs. If you want my $0.02 I would suggest buying a cheap expansion chamber from www.iisports.com for a few dollars or ebay'ing one, then fitting it inside a magazine from Special Ops or using a airsoft or real magazine.
