    Posted: 06 July 2007 at 10:16pm

I noticed that my Tippmann X7 was leaking near the tombstone of the marker about 1 week ago. So I used some leak spray on it and the tombstone was perfectly fine. I know that the leak is coming from deeper inside the gun near the tombstone ( it is making a hissing sound, not too loud).

The Marker only leaked when i dry fired/ shot (using Co2). If I put a Co2 tank on the marker without shooting it, it will not leak. But it leaks continuosly after i shoot once.

So I took it to my local paintball store and the techy said right away that it was a valve problem/ power tube. He then *fixed* it. So when I went to go get it, it seemed fine, UNTIL I GOT HOME. It started leaking again from the same spot.

All of the O-rings are attached inside the marker correctly, Could it Be the powertube, Valve, or the Front Bolt?

I fixed it by using oil, but now its broken again.

Its the complete valve. I belive I need to replace all of the o-rings to seal up the air leak. Il see wat I can do.

send it back to tippmann, they will fix it for free, or at least try to fix it.

If i send it to Tippmann, I will have to pay for shipping. Which would be around $30 total. I could just get a whole new valve for that much.

But thank you for the response.

x7s suck in comparison to the a5. keep guns simple and effective, all old cockers and other guns make new guns seem like we are devolving, any time we try to get something fancy and new its going to fail at first. when they make a new model of the x7 with more aftermarkets ups it should be better, just like the 1st a5s had bad cyclones, then they made newer ones withs a n"A" on the bottom to tell you if your cyclone is better or not...

You sir, are an idiot.

The old cockers were simple?  Not by a long shot.  X7 crappier than A5?  Not quite.

simple compared to the newr versions, plus know one really likes some of em, like they have a lot, but only a couple are actually good.  i think all cockers are generally simplistic, you just need to understand the 3way system and such. not what i meant comparing the A5 to the X7, i was saying that the aftermarket upgrades tippman does to its guns greatly improves it, my example was that their secound model of the A5 cyclone was better than the original. im just saying that tippmann will probobly fix these in a later model, or some aftermarket company will design parts to do so...

Dude calm down, lol.

The X7 only costs $230 at my local paintball shop.

It is true that some parts on the X7 were meant to be fixed/ upgraded. I have a 1 year warranty on my x7, and I have already called in for a crap load of parts for extras. I get valves for free, front bolts, rear bolts, and many other things. Its pretty funny.

well the only thing i can say to you is make sure inside the "tombstone" ,as you put it, that there is a washer and an o-ring ... it will leak otherwise especially if the oring is not seated properly and i will tell you right now the x7 does not like co2.
