I was just wondering what major parts of the Tippmann A-5 should be oiled after every use.

Thanks,

Read your user's manual.

Yes the manual is a good place to start but I believe additional lubrication is needed.  Besides the few drops of oil in the tank adapter and grease on the safety, barrel and tank o-ring (thats all the manual covers) I would put a few drops of oil on the inside of the frame where the rear bolt moves.  I also oil the front bolt and the power tube where it rides on.  I have a votex mod in my cyclone so I disassemble that and re-grease it at regular intervals.  I grease the o-ring on the top of the response trigger piston and the sear where the rear bolt rides.  Just make sure that the lubricants you use are compatible to plastic and rubber parts.  Hoppes #9 lubricating oil, lithium grease or other grease specifically for markers or o-rings.  The wrong lubricant will destroy your o-rings and desolve plastic.

The best way to oil the gun is to put a few drops of oil in the ASA and then all moving parts where there is contact.

Wrong.  From the manual pages 17 & 18:  Re-oil with a few drops to the front bolt o-ring and rear bolt.

Agreed. If it moves and there is friction, lube it. Just pay attention to what type of lube you use since certain things need specific types of lubricant. Also, a little oil on the o-rings is a good idea as others have mentioned. Clean and oil your gun like this and they'll work like new for years.

Wrong.  From the manual pages 17 & 18:  Re-oil with a few drops to the front bolt o-ring and rear bolt.

My manual dates from Early 2002 and does not have that instruction.
