My Tippmann 98 is like decocking after I fire a few shots.  It has a stock on it, could that be the problem?

You also might want to check your velocity.

Possible issues.

1. Tank is near empty, re-fill and try again (most common)

2. Velocity is set too far down. This starves the gun and prevents it from re-cocking properly.

3. Gas leak. Check your hoses and such.

4. Any other ups on the gun? A regulator set too far down could be the problem. If you have an on/off and that isn't all the way open that too can cause a problem.

Take the stock off. Many times it will be the stock because it might not be giving enough pressure on the bolt with the spring like the stock endcap does.

I had the same issue.  If the velocity isn't too low, a Maddman spring (the red one) will fix it.  If not, get an adjustable output tank (or both).  I recommend the Nitroduk X-Stream.

Sometimes there is just a bad "fit" between the tank valve pin and the pin depressor in the ASA.  Try a different tank if you can, because the problem is usually with the tank valve.  (It won't open far enough to provide adequate propellant supply.)  If you think the problem might be with the ASA, you could test your tank with a remote line.  However, I've never seen a stock Tippmann ASA have this problem.

You use a little screw in the side of the body.  Look below the Tippmann lettering.
