Well i got an apex today, brought it home and was all excited to fire some balls through it and see what it can do, so i start shooting when i get home, every friggin ball breaks, so my new apex is now filthy, i clean it and realize...The porting in the middle of the barrel, there are rough edges inside the barrel from when it was drilled, Im so PO'd, spend 120 on this, and i got it about 2 hours away from home so i cant just go back and return it. Has anyone eles had this? What should i do, im going to try to push some steal wool back in forth inside to see if it takes the splinters off.

1. Either return it because putting steel wool through it will mess up the barrel.
2. Or get an adapter and stick the tip on another barrel.
3. ??????
4. Profit

i emailed bt, and kindly told them the problem and told them the serial number of the barrel, and asked if they could sned me a new barrel, just a barrel, not the plastic part. Has anyone delt with them? Are they good people? I used a thin file and carefully filed the edges down and it looked pretty good. I have turtle wax drying in the barrel as i type, waiting to buff it out. I shot out of it and it shoots ok. Im going to use one of my friends tomorow and see if their is a differance. Hopefully bt will come through and send me another barrel. Will the adapter fit on the custom pro stock barrel?

I emailed BT three times over the past 16 months asking how I could get a replacement rubber ramp for my Apex... and never got a response. Even though I fault the barrel itself, I wasn't even looking for a "free" replacement part... I just wanted to know if I could BUY a replacement part.

Nothing.

The adapter will not fit on the stock barrel, as far as I know. You could try. Note, that you'd need an adapter to make it work. I had my Apex tip installed on a J&J Ceramic, using a UMS adapter (google).

I'd send it back for new.  I paid 60.00 nib.  Even on a jj edge kit accuracy suffers.  Using the apex is a fun waste of paint for a while.

My apex is bottom shelf now.

I got to test mine the other day and even with crappy old paint the accuracy was surprisingly good for a barrel like this. With the ramp all the way up I was stacking paint at short-medium range which means it's not too hard to land a long shot (without making use of extended range). With the slider all the way forward I actually laughed when I fired the shot because it went nearly straight into the ground. The ball gets such an absurd flight path at that setting that I wouldn't even consider it for use in a game unless I was bored. At the more usable settings range was only about comparable to the flatline, maybe even slightly worse though the accuracy may have been a little better. To be honest, after using the flatline I'm not all that impressed with the Apex. I'm still waiting on my adapter to put it on my ceramic so I couldn't test that out for comparison. The way I see it, it's basically just a flatline that can be turned off when it isn't needed.
