Best Close Quarters Combat setup

   Well what I am wondering is what would be the best CQC setup for an A5. The kinds of ups I am wondering about are barrels and firepower. Also the field I'd be using it on has alot of risk of my marker getting wet. Thanks in advance. :)

	Well, if you're going to go submerging your marker in water, E-grip is out of the question, even though it is the best option. Otherwise, I'd just like to say that ALL paintball is close-quarters combat. Hence the USMA West Point NCPA team's name is the Golden Knights Close Combat Team. Anyway, semantics aside, accuracy is still a factor as well as the need to dump a lot of paint quickly. Basically you want to take a look at the factors that affect speedball set-ups as that is basically 'CQC' in terms of the short-range fight in paintball. My suggestion is a 12-14" barrel like a J&J Ceramic or Lapco Bigshot, the RT trigger system (since you mentioned the whole "getting my marker wet" thing) and some nice water-tight pods to keep the ammo dry. Go with HPA on the marker and keep the tank-size small if you're planning on getting up-close and personal. The tighter and faster the package, the better..... Of course, if you didn't insist on jumping in streams and ponds, you could just use your ion there bub.

	Thanks man, but for CQC I meant that I'm not someone who hides far away from the action at the back of the field so they don't get shot. Also I was wondering about this barrel kit from http://www.doropaintball.com/AB1038101Equick/shopexd.asp?id= 8983 I sold my ion because I am upgrading my setups soon to an A5 and a shocker.

	meh, I've never been a big fan of the empire barrels. They make some good stuff, but barrels aren't one of those things. I tend to stick with CP, LAPCO, or J&J for my barrels. They work well, have stood the test of time, and are quality work.

	Okay I have a question, it could be a dumb one I don't know. But on the a5 where it says built in vetical tanmk adapter, in the tippmann 07 catalog, can you screw in your tank their? 2) How do install a remote line to the Vertical tank adapter? does it come with all the fittings needed? Thanks to everyone above for their advice.

	The adapter is where the current bottom line runs into the valve on the bottom of the receiver right in front of the trigger guard. You simply remove the bottom-line by unbolting the asa and simply un-screwing the attachment where it enters the vertical ASA. Screw in your remote line, voila! Oh, and here's my CQC marker She's 4 years old and has a board from a company that folded, but she'll still throw paint just as well as anything out there.
