Last night a student got shot twice, once in the knee, once in the chin on his walk to his apartment 2 blocks away from where I live. 

I was asked on my way to class today by a reporter, who was smoking hot...., if I knew what the victim's name was.  there have been a handful of cops and reporters every time i've walked to campus.  kinda creepy.


As far as I know, the kid's still alive... thank god.

ced... surprisingly, not.  My old neighborhood was notoriously "scarier" to live in.  It's just around campus, there are so many kids out and about at night that it's easy pickings. 

I don't get it though... what do they get from us?  $10 that we were going to spend on lunch tomorrow... an mp3 player if they're lucky... and maybe a cell phone... and unless they score a nice one... is worth nothing.

Well, the bad news is you can't carry concealed in WI.  The good news is that this just means you will have to carry your shotty over your shoulder instead.

Should make class more entertaining for all.

I hear you, we have a couple chrome / Nickel plated Smith & Wesson .357 magnum. One is a .357 the other is a .38 special, they are pure win, but it's easy to get fingerprints on them


And the colt had got to be one of the most overrated pistols ever...

What the heck are you talking about? For knock-down power, accuracy, and reliability they can't be beat. Mind you, they ARE NOT a good CCW weapon due to their size and weight. But that's why GLOCK developed the GAP and .45GAP round to go with it. The US Military and more than a handful of police and law-enforcement agencies are watching the .45GAP trial runs in the US VERY seriously as they have found the 9x19 parabelum round to be insufficient in many cases. The same reason that the US military switched from .38 to .45ACP in the first place.

LOL, a guy in my platoon has a CCW, I forget for which state. And yes, he's Canadian. And no, he's not a dual citizen, nor has he ever lived in the States. He just visits fairly often. I still can't figure it out.

A revolver is better than an automatic in many cases. A good J Frame or SP-101 is perfect.
