hey all. great website.
Just wondering since I'm getting an A5. If i wanted more long range shots, should i go for something like a 14' progressive barrel or a flatline? Any help is appreciated. |

I've used an A5 with a flatline before but I've only used a progressive barrel on a 98 custom. I didn't like the progressive (I found that my friend's linear shot just as good as the progressive and was abotu $10 bucks cheaper) but the flatline was pretty nice, fairly good accuracy and alot of range. If you just want long range shots go for the flatline its great for that cause thats what it was made for. |

The only barrels that will increase your range are the Tippmann Flatline system and the BT Apex System. So, if you're looking for a range advantage, those would be the two to look at. Mind you, they're more accurate than the stock barrel, but they both have their issues with bounces at distance and loss of accuracy at distance due to various factors and laws of physics.
If you want normal range but great accuracy, either a barrel kit or a J&J Ceramic or LAPCO Bigshot would be the way to go. |

I would suggest a 12-14" JJ Ceramic.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.
