Would it be possible to buy some autococker detents (or some other self contained detents) and then drill and tap holes in the sides of the firing chamber and install them on a 98? I am getting problems with double feeding with me ReloaderB and dont want to have to buy new detents (I know they are cheap but its annoying) and also it makes my gun moe custom. Has anyone ever done this before? Or do people tend to jsut do the double deetent mod? Cheers, Mike.

most people double-detent the marker, however, drilling and tapping for an AC ball detent or even some matrix detents would work.

The issue was raised that the elbow would get in the way of a detent so the plan is to centre feed and then see if the detent will be mountable in the new vertical elbow. Failing that ill just try with one extra detent just like the early Angels and many other guns did then the combination of one AC detent and the standard one may be enough. Ill let you know what happens although I live in the UK so postage can be tedious from the USA as I cant find a center feed in the UK at all!

Yeah, you'd have to go totally left-side with an AC detent, but if you use it in conjunction with the standard detent, you should be good to go.

How do the other type of detents work?  I'm trying to figure out how to put the detent from the top becuase I'm going to do a bottom feed 98.

Any pics or details would be great.

Thanks.

'Cocker detents are a ball-bearing in a housing with a spring behind it, it simply threads into the body. They're extremely easy to work with and the easiest by far to install.

Are you using a CF or Bottom feed with a Q-Loader? You mentioned both. If you go with a bottom feed you probably wont run into any issues other than possibly the bolt (clamping the recievers together).
