I need some help with coming up with some prompts for English. The prompts need to be persuading someone to do something.
Some Examples: You are trying to persuade your friend to ride a ride at the amusement park but he/she won't. Your parents will not buy you a cellphone for your birthday/any holiday. What do you do? |

Do you need short or long responses? If you need something short then you might go for peer pressure and guilt. They're not great, but they often get people to do things they wouldn't normally do.
For a longer response use logical arguments. Logical arguments can also be quite short, but you have to be very precise. |

Keep it more open ended, because you don't want to limit yourself with something too narrow. Go with something like "You are planning a family trip, convince your parents where to go". That way, you don't run out of ideas like you would with a cell phone or going on a ride. You can talk about things to do and see, which if you pick a halfway decent location, it should be no problem.

Persuade people that Arnold Schwarzenegger should be the next president. I'm doing it right now. Have to present it tomorrow. |
