The subject basically says it all. I bought an ACT 98 Custom and was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether I should keep the ACT or install an LPK instead. (they're not compatible for those that didn't already know).
I currently use a palmers reg with Co2, but I could switch to HPA also. I'm looking for the best consistency shot to shot and least breakage. What would be the best combination for the least money? Thanks for any input. |

Ps. I also use a remote air hose, so that helps stabilize the Co2. If I'm using the palmers and the remote would the LPK even do anything beneficial? How much difference would the Lpk make if I switched to hpa.

The LPK far outweighs the ACT in benefits. However, you must be running HPA on it otherwise you void warranty work.
I'm a bit tired right now as I've have an extremely long week at work, but I'll post more info in a few hours for you. |

If decide to stay on Co2 do you think the palmers plus remote line will suffice?

You could run it on CO2 with a stab and things would probably be fine so long as the stab doesn't fail on you. Even then, your marker would just fail to operate properly until you got a new reg slapped on the thing. You don't need a remote, it's just something to get tangled up as the Stab will keep liquid out of the marker on it's own. Honestly, however, you should look at upgrading before too long to HPA.
The ACT is alright when it comes to keeping chops down, but a properly tuned LPK will hang-up on a round rather than chop it. The first thing to upgrade if you're running into issues of chopping is the hopper. Get a force-fed hopper (at least a revvy) and you'll take care of that issue. |

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately there is no close fill station in my area for hpa, so it is highly unpractical. I would get it if it would make a huge difference but if the palmers will suffice then i think I'll stick with that.
Thanks again. Edited by Slave2no1 - 16 December 2007 at 4:53pm |

If you can't tag someone with 6 paintballs or less you're not as good as you think you are.
