Good and free don't really go well together unless you have a mac or somehow find a good torrent.

If you don't have much editing to do, you could do ulead video studio 11 trial version. I found it relatively simple and easy to learn for basics. Only works for 30 days though, and it's the most popular editor you can try out before you buy (for $60).

If you don't mind trying to steal something, Sony Vegas Pro 8 is the best editor out there.

The only thing I would need to do is maybe add a clip into a video ? or some text. Nothing special, and if it has a crest in the video pic it's fine. I don't want to have to mess around with downloading crap with virus's and such.
