With the x7 do you need the carry candle to mount a red dot or scope?

No. There are built in rails. Just make sure they red dot/scope is compatible.

As mentioned no.

But highly recommended if you have a stock, because most paintball masks won't allow you to look low enough without interfering with the stock.

Kind of agree on the stock - but instead of a carry handle you could use a rail offset.
