Ive been asking this question in a few places, but no one wants to answer
this super-spooky question, So I figure Ill ask here too. I... guess this is the closest type of forum I can get to the question. Anyway, I know the general prices of madly upgraded DM3s. but what about a rarely used - stock Dm3 nowadays? Its pretty important I find this out, and any type of help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Probably about $100. And it's a 2003 Dye Matrix, not a DM3. Why do you want to know? Selling or buying? |

Thanks! I want to know because Im buying, but between friends, so a fair price obviously must be in order. Sadly none of us really know the price on this relic, too much debating and such. Thats why I definitely need to know what they really go for.

Oh cool, thanks for the help dudes.
If you want to know, the deal is unofficially closed. I figured he's my friend, so that gives me the ability to know he hasnt beaten it with a hammer, and to test fire it. That reassurance is worth 10 bucks to me. Hes low on cash so he's throwing in a bag of paint (15 bucks) for a total of 125. Not a golden deal but hell I want it! Now I need to check out it now to see if its as nice as he says. |

The DMLCD/DM3 is still sick by today's standards with the right parts in it. |

I think they're hot... in an... "ugly" way?
Yeah they are the bulky tank of paintball. Still, I shall rip with it. Really, it's a Dm8 with a weight problem to me, so its all good. But uh.. right parts? |

Board, bolt kit, and a good LPR is all you need. Tadao still makes and sells DM3 boards, you'll need to perform a top-hat mod if it hasn't been done yet or get a bolt-kit (aardvark, orange, or freeflow) which will help with efficiency, and last but not least, you need a good lpr. SCM-III is the best, but a DYE rocket or shocktech lpr will work just fine. |

Hmmm.. Yeah I can do the tophat mod, easy as hell. As for the board, I knew about Tadao (me love Tadao) making one, but isnt it something outrageous like 120-150 bucks? I mean come one, its an old gun.
As for the LPR, I searched the SCM-III and found a 50 dollar one. That sounds reasonable. Thanks, I will be getting most of this. (When my wallet permits) |

If you can't afford a new board, see if you can't find an old Freeflow "Anderson" board. They're optical and run an LED screen (screen, not individual lights, takes less power to make words/scroll/etc. So your battery lasts longer) so you get the awesome fine-tuning capabilities of an optically operated board and better battery. Only down side is no true ramping modes.

That's a lapco drop. LPR seems to be either a ST or a Palmers. Barrel is DYE, Standard GEN-E hi-rise feedneck. Which means it's probably a Gen-E LCD board and not a DYE LCD board. Need better pictures to tell.

Thanks. Wow, so some poop is done for me.
Anyway, here http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y263/warhamma40000/Photo6.j pg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y263/warhamma40000/Photo7.j pg The chip says GUN12, and I dont know what the hell the dipswitches do. Um... Yeah and that feedneck sucks, it wont fit my Vlocity Jr's neck at all. I WONT sand down my hopper neck, but Im thinking of getting low grit sandpaper and trying to sand the inside of the dye neck before breaking and buying a new one. PS - Reg kind of looks like an expansion chamber? Odd UPDATE - Ah, HPR is a beehive. Edited by TheWarHam - 29 January 2008 at 10:36pm |

Haha yeah Im getting a new one as soon as I can. It doesnt fit any hoppers I own, so that's a big plus on top of the ugliness and height.
And uh... Space Marines FTW? :O |
