I myself pefer the E-Grip because the ease of use and the firing modes. But it really comes down to personal preference.

Don't worry about it. There are some pretty insensitive people on the forum that are pretty much useless and only troll around the T&O forum because they're too poor, or too out of shape to play anymore.

As for the E-Grip vs R/T. The RT is a great option if you're only going to be playing woods-ball and don't want to have to worry about batteries. It also tends to work better off of CO2 than the E-Grip does as the pressure needed to run the RT is easier to keep constant with CO2.

That said, it's mainly a matter of preference. If you can, try both of them out either by borrowing friends' markers or getting a local pro-shop to let you try them out.

Hope that helps!

I love my egrip on mine.  I am personally not as much of a fan of the RT. No reason other than I dont like searching for the sweet spot.  I know alot of people that love their RT though.  If there is a way to try both of them you should.  Otherwise go for the one you think you will like. As for not worrying about the batteries I have never had a battery die on me on the field.  the egrip actually isnt bad about battery power.

No, that wasn't directed at you snake. You actually still have a Pro-Carbine and I'm sure that you still get to play at least once in a while or intend to play again, unlike some people on the forum.

I will ditto the previous comments about personal preference.

I have RT on my A-5, and an E-Grip on my X-7.  They both have their charms, but I personally prefer the RT, because then I don't have to worry about batteries, and I feel like I have a little more control over the action. Of course, it is harder to maintain a steady stream, and it requires more practice and more tinkering than the E-Grip.

Also make sure that you understand the rules at whatever fields you may be playing at.  Some places allow electro full auto, others do not.  Some allow RT, others do not.

I still have my pro-carb, my ego, the sl682, and my autococker.

I haven't played in over a year now, and dont see myself playing anytime in the near future.
