sounds like everyone is getting a blast of cold this winter, we have had some cold spells, today I heard on the radio it was -56 with the wind chill in fort st john; officially it's supposed to get around -52.

Warnings
B.C. north Peace River
7.31 AM PST Sunday 27 January 2008
Wind chill warning for
B.C. north Peace River continued

Extreme wind chill of colder than minus 45 celsius expected for Williston and British Columbia Peace River regions by morning.

This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

Meanwhile the Arctic front has moved southward across the British Columbia Peace region where temperatures have already plummeted by 25 degrees since yesterday morning and wind chill values of minus 44 celsius have developed. Temperatures will continue to fall to below minus 30 this morning over northern regions and combined with gusty north winds will result in extreme wind chill values of minus 52 celsius in the British Columbia Peace and below minus 45 celsius in the Williston region. Conditions should improve in northern regions early Monday morning as winds ease.

It's been really cold lately, into the negatives. But tomorrow it's supposed to get up to like 45. It's been getting hot then cold lately.

Celsius is simply a better system than Fahrenheit. It makes more sense. Fahrenheit uses arbitrary values, whereas Celsius is based on something real. 0 = water freezes, 100 = water boils. Also, the Kelvin scale uses the same increment. Therefore, it's 2 against 1.
