So I just put an e-tigger on my 98custom and was wondering what would be the best hopper to go along with the gun. Maybe a Halo? I don't know.

If you are going to get something like a Halo, I highly recommend center-feeding your 98c.

Like he said... unless you want to get a cyclone (my personal prefference) center feed the gun and take it from there.  How fast do you want to shoot?  How big of a hopper is too big?  This may help to advise you.

I'm going to be shooting as fast as an E-trigger can take me I guess? will a cyclone feeder off an A5 be sufficient? Will that bolt right on? What other electric hoppers do you recommend?

The cyclone can keep up with the E-Grip. If you're looking for an electronic hopper, a Halo would be the way to go...along with a center-feed of course.

There is a kit for the cyclone to be put on the 98 that you can get.  One off of an A5 will not bolt right on.  Now if you want to go higher that 15 bpa you will need to get the upgrades on the cyclone (techT and new Designz make full upgrades for 80-90 that replace the ratchet, rod, and the tube) the upgrades will get you 26bps or so but the ratchet alone can boost you up to 20ish probably.  Either way it will all cost you a bit (Halo w/ centerfeed or cyclone higher than 15 bps)  The stock e grip comes at 15 bps I think so if you just want to keep it at that then the cyclone will keep up.  At that rate I would still think about replacing the ratchet just because of the stress on it.   I still have my stock ratchet in but I limited mine to 11bps.

i liek the q-loader, it makes the gun look better and since the balls are prety much sring loaded they go in the gun faster than many hoppers. its just really expensive....

"Damn...Did that just happen?"

just turned on the E-grip and it's freakin sick. I was going to go with the Halo B w/rip drive, but what is this about an Eggy 2 or 3? are they better? Also if I go with the Halo B do I need a centerfeed or is that recommended? Because I looked online for a centerfeed and I would have to completely take apart the gun for that.  If I kept the E-grip around 20 bps with the Halo B w/rip drive do I need the centerfeed?

An Eggy 3 is short for Evlution 3 by Veiwloader it is a hopper that is very good for the price and it feeds fast. If you have the money go with a halo or a vlocity. If you are on a tight budget go with an eggy.
You also do not need a centerfeed your marker. It will make your gun faster by not pushing the balls through an elbow but it is not needed. You would also have to get your gun permanently altered and pay for a professional to install it unless you are skilled with a drill press. You can also port your elbow to make your gun shot faster (with a fast hopper). it decreases the blowback air pushing back up into your hopper therefor allowing your hopper to feed faster. (I dont have personal experience with it but HERE is how to do it)

Well i'll go with the Halo B w/rip drive and not centerfeed the gun.  I will most like leave it on the standard 15bps or turn it to 20bps but no more than 20. Thanks for the advice QcXf.
