Just wondering which one of these guns would be better as a dirt cheap speedball gun that I can use as a backup to my pump. I can probably get an epiphany  for 200ish and a VS2 for 150 or less. I like the VS more than the epiphany and have a sniperII for woods/stockclass so this gun would mostly all be speed. I like the VS more because its simpler easier to clean and it seems to be built like a shovel that I have no prob abusing when an epiphany is more fragile. I also have freak inserts for my sniperII that I could use on the epiphany. I want to get a female stabilizer and just run the marker off a 3.5/5/7oz co2 that I have from pump tournies. If I got a VS I'd put a new bolt/stryker and spring kit in it with the money saved.
Haven't heard much about either gun and looking for opinions and pros/cons of each setup.

Promaster. They are dirt cheap and shoot better than both the markers you listed.

I shot one for a day and hated it and an epip does shoot nicer than a promaster (it only beats ions) not to mention that ICD is out now and spare parts aren't something I can find where I live.

Epiphany is an Ion in a new body. ICD is out but another company has taken responsibility for parts, repairs and such.

But whatever, if it ain't your cup-of-tea I'm not going to tell you otherwise.

Epiphany wins, but beats a VS2 by a LONGSHOT.

Ya I just got around to shooting them at a proshop and I like the epiphany way more now. I thought that the VS could run off Co2 so I kind of liked because I have tanks from my pump I thought I could run it off of but the guy said that they don't run off co2 unless its antisiphoned (spyder that can't run off co2??? What has this world come to?). Considering a new PMR SE for 230-240.

I own a PMR. I would suggest that way more than Smart Parts or Kingman trash. But still, I would rather have a pump than a Vs2.

VS2 can run off CO2, my friend used that setup for a few months, but
HPA is way better. I would go with the PMR, but that's just me.
