A-5 Sight Mounting Options

   I am about to purchase an A-5, but had a question about the mounting of a scope.  Could anyone recommend a setup?  Is it better to go with an offset weaver mount?  Or should I offset the hopper and get a raised weaver mount for the scope?  Any advice as to a good setup would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

	Scopes are pointless for paintball unless for aesthetic purposes only. Red Dots are iffy at best, but better than a scope. You shouldn't have any trouble with a red dot if you get a raised weaver mount.

	don't attach a scope. Red dots and iron sights work best. It would be a waste of money and limits your field of view.

	As everyone else mentioned above, red-dot is your best bet. There are plenty of raised mounts out there that will do just fine, I used Opsgear's for quite some time and had no complaints. Combine that with an offset hopper or a Tac-Cap and you will be good to go. As for practicality, their are plenty of nay-sayers, try it for yourself. I run HPA with a good-quality barrel, and SPENT SOME TIME zeroing in my red-dot from a realistic engagement distance. I am here to tell you I can put my first shot right on target 98% of the time, and have an incredible shot group. Time, patience, and some PRACTICE (far too many people never bother to practice shooting with their gun, they just expect to point and shoot at the game and everything to go as planned) and your red-dot should work out just fine. *EDIT: sorry, didn't notice 'first post'..WELCOME! 	Yeah, like they said scopes are practically useless in paintball. But if you're that dead set on getting one I'd pick up that off-set rail first, that way you have iron sights to fall back on when things get a bit close.
