Topic: Best 98c scenario upgrades?Posted: 28 March 2008 at 12:26pm |

So Im playing in my first real "Scenario" game in two weeks at Westpoint's BIG game. I was wondering if anyone who has played in the serious scenario games could tell me the most important upgrades I should get before the game. Also does anyone know where to get a M-16 shroud without a barrel already attached? So far I got... -98c, 16 in all-american 2 piece barrel, double trigger, 47/3000 nitroduck- My buddy is comin with me too, but hes only playing with a stock 98c on co2... any suggestions? |

Try OPSGEAR, RAP4, paintball discounters, for starters.

A little more info would help too. What do you want to make it look like? M4. AK, G36, etc.

im more worried about performance than cosmetic upgrades but im not trying to make it look like anything that requires a shoulder stock. Maybe an Mp5?

I prefer the apex to flatline, but it all depends on how you play. Play for a bit with your gun stock, then look up some upgrades that fits your style.

Go for a nice J&J barrel. If you want someting louder get a Lapco. both work extremely well. you could also get egrip and a fas feeder or a cyclone. as for the milsim look without the stock. you could always get a barrel shroud and a mag. It all depends on how the scenario ballers you play with are.

What velocity do you have your marker set? What type of paint are you using? The flatline works best at velocities between 260-275fps. You also need to use small to medium bore paint. You can't shoot crap paint through it effectively. I've shot 8 cases of paint through my flatline and only had 3 break in the barrel. Edited by StormyKnight - 29 March 2008 at 8:20am |

2 excellent mods for any type of scenario or woods player are the response trigger & cyclone feed. A shroud is mainly cosmetic unless you feel more comfortable holding your gun like a rifle, then it would be helpful. A stock of some sort and a remote line will always help in a scenario game, as your gun will be much lighter and more balanced.
the rest all depends on how you plan to play in these scenario games, what the terrain is like, and also what kinds of scenarios you are going to play. In the woods, I like a longer 16" barrel or my flatline if I have good paint. If it's more tight like urban terrain, I like a shorter, 12" barrel for a shorter, more agile gun. |

If you get an RT make sure it is able to be used at all of th efields you go to. some fields outlaw it. thats why I prefer the egrip. you can set it to what you want it to be. The cyclone is a good upgrade though. Edited by thejudge - 30 March 2008 at 12:55am |

Yeah, that can be an issue. I've had field's that asked me to disable it. But they were happy with my simply turning the adjustment down so low that it didn't kick anymore. Once you learn the in's & out's of the R/T, you can pretty easily choose not to use it with the way you pull the trigger. If you're careful, you can play all day without anyone ever mentioning a thing. I'm not saying to cheat, I'm saying you can still use it as a semi without adjusting it down, and i bet a ref would never say a thing about it. I'm not down grading the e-grip. I'm one that likes a mechanical gun, nothing electronic. And, like my electric hoppers before my cyclone, I am sick of buying batteries. Edited by motopsycho650 - 30 March 2008 at 4:56am |

that is correct and you can use the money for a bigger tank. the 48/3000 will only get you about 550 shots. You may want to save up for a 4500 psi tank. They are lighter and you get more shots. if not that at least get a bigger 3000 psi tank.

yea but I was just planning on airing up between each game. What's the next least expensive tank? Im trying to get a 3000psi just because I know fields will be able to fill it. Also, what do you guys know about fans in masks? Is that a newb idea? I always get fogged up during play which ruins the whole game. THANKSS

Instead of a fan just get a thermal lens. they dont fog. As for the filling part a field can still fill a 4500 tank even if they can only fill it to 3000. Next size up is the 72/3000. It is 63 at www.actionvillage.com . link is http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=AJIPe1O1Qi cOPhRHYojP01kTiSPss5Cpxyk=?ProductID=OAKsFAY7hlsAAAD5MtFJBmG q . Again that tank weighs 5 lbs by itself where a 68/4500 weighs less than 3. if you run a remote it wont really matter but if not it is something to look at.

I think Im gonna go with a crossfire highpressure 45/4500. Or...a warrgames 50/3000. Weight is a big concern now. How heavy do you guys think the worrgames tank is? it's aluminum
