ACT cannot be used with the E-Bolt. It would be pointless anyways, if I did an E-Bolt mod I would throw a DM board in there and setup some eyes.

whats the best board you can get for the ebolt? i know that a good ebolt is made by ksi. (?right?) but are different ebolt brands or makers perferred over others or is just the board it comes with?

BSI? Ebolts are great because they can handle most boards. But there is no point unless you are going to do the two way mod. |

I have a 98C with E-Bolt (no ups on the the board or Ram so far). It's great thing for T98. If a new one will be made it should be 2 way and a LPR Valve with sealed Blowback. I modded my Valve with a self shrinking sleeve but the marker is still an airhog. Edited by Stoneweapon - 01 May 2008 at 3:59pm |

The E-Bolt is nothing like the E-Grip. Look it up, as It's 1 a.m. here and I don't feel like explaining.

OK its 1 AM here now and I will explain before I go to sleep. The E-Bolt works as an electro-pneumatic replacement for the hammer and hammer spring and the sear aswell. It contains a low pressure regulator, board with solenoid valve, trigger switch, Battery switch and the RAM, a piston, that moves the tiny bolt forward by the low pressure (about 80 psi) which is now just a "valve opener". There is no need for blow back because the E-Bolt works pneumatic. The solenoid valve opens the flow to the RAM. You can setup the "dwell time" and the low pressure for the RAM for optimal results. A Tippman 98C with E-Bolt shoots without recoil or with very few like Angels or Ego's. The reason why some people do 2 way mods on their E-Bolt is, that the original E-Bolt is moved back by a spring which limits the maximum ROF and may sometimes lead to a stuck front bolt (often with low pressure kit). 2-way gives safer and faster operation of the RAM by moving it forward and back with pneumatic pressure controlled by the board. You need a different solenoid and board for 2-way operation. An E-Bolted Tippmann is just a pneumatic marker and can be a paint sprayer like any Angel if you use a special board with eyes and a fast loader. Even my stock E-Bolt lets the EGO Kiddies duck behind their bunkers. @ TinMan: Good Job. Edited by Stoneweapon - 10 May 2008 at 7:27pm |
