First of all, correct usage of punctuation and spelling would enable us to better understand your question. Secondly, go to the " New Player" forum and read the stickies so you know what you are talking about. Once you have completed the two prior steps, then come back to this forum and read the sticky titled Uber Upgrades & FAQ: Please Read! . If you still continue to have questions, please free to come back and ask away.

well a J&J ceramic is a great barrel for a low budget.  It does not have to be longer necessarily.  Anything between 8 and 14 should give about the same accuracy.  As far as stock goes it comes to prefference.  alot of peopl do not like them.  You may want to lookinto just using a stock that goes on the ASA if you run a remote or you may want to look into a tank that you can shoulder.  As for a good sight I used an Adco when I had a 98c and I liked it.  Dont get NCstar because they are not very strong and cannot take a hit.

final price (in US money)

J&J- 30-35 ish

Stock- 25ish  (if you go tank on it is free)

sight - 25 ish

total - 85 ish

Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

First, look into a new barrel. I highly recommend a 12-14" JJ Ceramic. Great barrel for the price, shoots well with a variety of paint, and shoots well through breaks. A stock may steady you when you're aiming, but its all personal preference. I would suggest looking into a CAR stock, that way you can adjust it to the length that best suits you.

Since you said you don't like the iron sights, look into a red dot. BSA and Tasco make nice red dots. Typically, I say they are pointless, but if you do have a problem, this should help. You're going to want one with a Picatinny rail. If it's a weaver mount, it'll work fine on the Picatinny.

You can probably find these things cheapest on eBay, pbnation.com, automags.org, or mcarterbrown.com. A retailer won't get you the best deal.

Anymore questions, feel free to ask. However, try to use better punctuation to make things easier for us. Help us help you.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

you can use your tank as a stock, many people do this, and don't even like the feel of stocks.

Also, most people (me included) don't use any form of sights on their markers, and just know them well enough to know roughly where they're aiming.

Welcome to the forum.  Don't start down the path of using sites.  Pretty much useless on a PB gun which are not accurate enough to warrant sights.  Shoot with both eyes open and track the balls for accuracy.  Gas-thru t stocks are nice.  There's a reason stock players use them and it's not because they look cool.  They just work.

Greetings dyson. As far as accuracy is concerned, tracking the ball like lightningbolt says is really your best bet. It's not so difficult and is ALWAYS the best. However I do have to disagree as sights do have their merits and at times can be quite handy. I've got much more to say about that subject, but perhaps along the way you may form a need for them, so don't totally discount them on a single person's word. A barrel is really the first upgrade imo that you should go for, really anyone. I've heard many say that up to a 16" barrel should be the limit because anything over that is a detriment. That's what I heard. Me, I went straight into a 14" J&J Ceramic and still use it from time to time with great effect. Another barrel which I like a lot is the LAPCO Bigshot's.

The long straight lines of the receivers halves on a 98 will work just as well to line up that first couple of shots.  Probably better than open sites.
