I'm going to be using an A5 this summer, and i'm going to need it full of Co2, although i have to take it on a plane at the end of the summer. Can paintball stores empty Co2 canisters? i don't think i should just open it up, something bad might happen if u know what i mean....because i can't bring compressed items on a plane.

Any type of cylinders holding compressed gas are not allowed on airplanes. In order to be placed in your checked bags, all gas must be released and the vegulator/valve must be removed. Therefore you would have to have a certified airsmith remove the valve and another certified airsmith will have to replace the valve properly when you reach your destination.

Definitely cheaper to ship the cylinder. Again, it must be empty.

K, so when i'm done paintballing in the summer, ill waste all my gas, and get one of the people that work at the paintball place to open it just in case theres a tiny bit left. Then ill keep it open, and i can probably bring the empty Co2 canister on the plane. |

dude, CO2 canisters are 20 bucks at wally world, leave one at each place, a friend just gave me a co2 tank that he hadnt touched in 3 years...and it still had freakin air in it! so draining it isnt a huge deal (i still would, but it aint huge) spend the 20 bucks, youll end up saving it due to postage.

yeah, that's what i was thinking stormy knight....i'll just take it empty on to the plane. But if i can't find a place to open it up properly, ill probably just get another 9 oz tank for the summer.

Yeah, I think i'll just get a 20 oz at each location, because it might take a while to get to each place, and it's a lot easier (i din't have to go through emptying it and getting it filled over and over again).

Why? Does owning more than one CO2 tank somehow alter the nature of space and time. I would have thought that 1 day would still equal one day, 1 year would still equal one year, etc. |

Double the product, double the time.
So 2 days is 1. |
