i recently purchased a tippmann 98 custom kit which included the flatline barrel. and im having trouble installing the flatline shroud even with the instruction manual. i cant seem to get it to fit. the manual says something about removing the rear sights but the ones on my gun are part of the frame, is there something i'm missing?

i thought the shroud could be seperated down the mid a little in the back to go on easily.  its been a while since i put on a 98 flatline but mine seperated to make it a lil easier.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

yes it does separate in the midle, as for easier instalation... i cant seem to get it to fit no matter what i do i think i might have to cut part of the shroud off because it seems like it could be a product defect.

Do you have the sealed bolt ( or rocketcocker) on? I had to take the dremel to my shroud once I put that on.

Have any photos you can post?

Yes, it would be helpful to know which 98 F/L barrel you got and to see the actual problem area.
