Im happy to say that today (06/02/08) my Alpha Black arrived in the mail. Its the tactical version with the E Grip. The only upgrading ive done to it is adding a BSA red dot scope. I had my doubts about the 11" barrel but not any more. After firing a few shots through and getting it sighted in I could make pretty decent groupings.

The gun is rediculasly durable and therefore it is rather heavy. The Remote Line I have helps alot to take off some of that weight so it kind of equals out. Theres also 1 other down fall i noticed besides the weight of the marker adn that was the magazine clip. Because it doubles as a tool kit its made out of plastic. When I say plastic im talkin EXTREAMLY low grade Chinese

But besides that I love this gun. Great for the price, espically for someone with a low budget.

Now on with the Pics.

Nice, did you drill a hole in your carry handle or just clamp the scope onto it?

Everyone is always saying how they found the ABT to be heavy.  It's not a light marker but I've never had a problem with it's weight and I don't normally hook up my remote line.

I wouldn't mind finding a nice metal magazine to replace the stupid stock one.  Maybe an idea for a nice mod.

I've got a 30 round magazine I'm tempted to retrofit into the AB, I just haven't gotten around to it, and I'm not that great at fabrications.

I'd swap out the stock barrel if I were you, a 14" looks great on the AB.

The Sight just clamped on to the top, its liek a $45 sight I found at the local Cabellas for llike $12. Only problem is I have an after market hopper that tends to get in the way so I might end up taking off the carrying handel and replacing it with pic-rails.

Im also looking at painting the gun as well, heres a pic of my old 98 custom. I did this with 2 cans of spray paint, and no stenciles. Just free hand. Pic is slightly blury, because I suck at taking pictures, my bad.  :/

Yeah, I was curious about that, my AB weighs practically nothing...in fact, I've never, ever held a marker that was heavy enough for me to take note of or deter me from using it.

If you've got the upper body strength anything above that of a 6 year old, you shouldn't have any issues with the weight of ANY marker.

lol indeed, but if you are a 6year old, the bt4 iron horse with the bt-4 magazine expansion chamber will be too heavy for you, well for long game plays that is.

Any hopper will get in the way even with a pic rail, do yourself a favor and go get a 98c cyclone!

CYCLONE FEEDER: is not a bad idea, but ive had trouble finding them. So far all the onlien stores ive checkd dont sell them and at the local field it'll cost you an arm and a leg.

ABOUT THE WEIGHT:  The only reason I noticed the weight is because im used the my 98c with a remote line. So it feels light as a feather compared the the AB.

YES I AM SCUBA STEVES LONG LOST BROTHER.

Also try ebay. Type in "cyclone" and narrow down.

You will have to have the ability to mod the feeder neck to fit the AB.

Can you please tell us what brand and model red dot sight you got?

I'm looking for a red dot sight for my Alpha Black tactical but I've heard people were drilling  the carry handle and adding a rail then putting the sights  on top of the rail.

You just snapped it on top of the carry handle??
