Me and my friends have started a paintball team, and with no 'real' matches under any of our belts, I figured we'd be on the same skill level. That was almost a year ago and by now I KNOW that I have played more than just about anyone in the team. Their not too serious about it, they dont know jack about anything(although I've tried to teach them stuff), and I have tried to help them with anything they need. Shoud I say screw these guys and go get new teamates, or should I stick with them? If you guys have any thing else to help with the development of the team, please, do tell.

Well, considering it is hard to start a team it doesn't surprise me that you are having these problems. Either way, before you bail out on these guy sit down and talk with them, and then try and get into a couple local competitions. Also don't put yourself on a pedestal and start telling them they suck and that you are better than them, because in some cases it doesn't matter how much you play. So, I suppose if you have any questions about what I said you can either pm me or post back in here.

I wouldent tell them they suck, they're some of my best friends. I'm kind of afraid to get in a local copitions b/c we would get smoked so i'll just get some kids to play aginst in he woods and then move on to competitions.

Considering gas prices and my age, i dont think that I'll be having teamates that far away. Besides, I like to have guys that I KNOW will cover my ass if needed.

I think I would have waited to start a "team" until I knew that everyone was interested in and enjoyed the sport.

They were all interested, just not enthusiastic apparently.

Well then honestly, if they're not too serious about it, talk to them, see if you need to set up some sort of practice schedule to get them more serious about it, or if they think they would be better to just forget about the idea.
