Need a car under 12k

My car is totaled and insurance gave us about 11,500.  any good car recommendations for under 12k?  Im looking for one,  new or used, compact i-4, preferably hatchback but sedans and coupes are fine.  Im not looking for one that someone on here has, just good ones to look at

Celica GTS. Has a 2zz Engine with VVTL-I. It has lift which is much like Honda's VTECH and is pretty fun to drive. Not to mention the Celica's handle like they are on rails.

This has the factory "agressive package". They are awesome cars.

You can get a Cobalt SS for under 12K now? Damn. Those things are fast as hell to. Especially the Supercharged one.

ya there are a few in town for 10k. im gunna do an supercharged echotec swap in my cavalier when the 08 funding drops.

If I was in your shoes, and with the outlook of the economic status of the country, I'd go back to the ford. The engines will run until they're destroyed. Hell, if they're maintained the engines will outlast the bodies, and the smaller car will keep you from being raped every time you have to get gas.

ford or chevy. i absolutly love my cavalier Z24, it gets 35mpg when im not hammering it. and parts are cheap.

for 12k you can get a nice early 90's BMW like a 318 or even C4 Corvette.

or those other little cars they metioned...

Hyundai Tiburons are nice, especially the GT V6s. Super Charged V6 for under 12k, why not....

suzuki forenza, saturn ion, uhh... theres alot you can get for that.
