eX7 upgrade

My eX7 from last year. Upgrades

Step #1
Modifying a 98C low pressure kit to work on the X7. Adding a low
pressure reg to the tombstone. The reg just shows a little where
the bottom line used to go in. It's there that the low pressure can
be adjusted.
The LP chamber (blk can) sits where the Cyclone used to be  :shock:
But that's another story.

Step #2
Electro pneumatic X7 ram and bolt system.
Modifying a Tippmann GTA 98 Custom Ebolt ram to fit a Trinity
X7 adjustable stock. Not being a big fan of the Trinity stock,
I used it because it is clear where the Ebolt ram needs to extend
out the back of the endcap. The stock mounts above the centerline
of the endcap.
Ebolt ram was turned to 3/4 inch diameter. The ram was sealed and
fitted with two 90* air fittings. It is now a two way operating ram
much like the Timmy or Ego pneumatic rams.

Step #3
Modifying the stock Tippmann X7 grip frame.
I used a die grinder with a wood router bit to cur a slot
for the solenoid and voltage regulator. The APE board was
fitted into the stock position by 2 hours of scraping plastic
away with an exacto type knife.
The APE board generates 9 volts to power the stock solenoid,
the 5 way solenoid is a 5 volt type. Thanks to Wullu information
about the voltage regulator shown made the APE board usable
with the 5 volt noid. The Magna RF transmitter is sandwiched
along side the APE board.
