I thought Ducks went for about $1500, not nearly that much...
Just went and checked, they start at $2250. I don't see how Earon Carter "magic" is worth $1300 extra. I mean you could easily get a car for that, there is no reason to pay that much for a paintball marker. |

I saw that too, its pretty rediculus. If I were going to buy it i would want it to have heat seeking paintballs, with an automatic night vision capability to whoever is holding it and maybe also a invisibility cloak button on the side somewhere. EDIT: ha i just offered him a 100.00 for it!! i'll just say it didn't go far through the intranets before the sorry cheap- Edited by t_hop - 25 July 2008 at 12:03am |

Not really, considering Dave Loo hasn't made one in a VERY long time. Hell, he sold his original one on Ebay last year for charity and made close to $8,500. But, you're also not a pump player, so I can see how the hype passes by you =) |

You people have a LOT to learn about Ducks. David Loo died a while back. He won't be making any more until Z-Day. Before he passed on, Loo started a run of the Kamikaze Shooter, AKA the Desert Duck, back in the 80's and early 90's, but he never finished the run due to his death. Earon Carter, who was a good friend of Loo, used the leftover stock and finished the run for Loo, more as a tribute than anything. There was no way he could make a profit on a marker like this, especially as semis were becoming the norm, yet he finished the run. Until the present, Carter made Ducks on special request, if your pockets were deep. Currently, he put them on his site, and will still make them, and still not for cheap. I assume he's keeping the price up to keep them exclusive. The marker itself is a tribute to David Loo.
That marker on eBay was Earon Carter's personal Duck, so beyond the fact that the marker is a work of art, it's got a name behind it, so it won't be cheap. As for Styro's comment, if I had the money, I'd have that gun next to me now. I'd kill innocents for a Duck. ![]() Edit: Still, in a purely functional mindset, it's nothing more than a REALLY expensive Nel-Spot. Edited by DeTrevni - 25 July 2008 at 12:51am |
