Does anyone here have expirience with them? I'm looking at getting one primarily for use with my 360, but I have no idea what I'm looking at. I do know that I want inputs and outputs so that I can go from Xbox to computer to TV, and preferably all through the yellow/white/red cords. But other than that, I have no idea what I'm looking for. I don't know brands, I don't know file formats, nothing. I'm just kinda hoping one of you can offer me some guiding advice into what I'm looking for. I'll probably end up using Windows movie maker or something else thats open source to start with at least, and if any of you have suggestions on open source movie editors that will work out well with a capture card let me know. If its linux compatible, even better. I haven't decided wether I'm sticking with Linux on my other computer or possibly buying XP.

Good luck getting XP.  I thought it was pulled off the shelves in June?

I just bought a Pinnacle HD PCI card for my HTPC running Windows MCE. I have had results with it thus far.

It comes with software that to capture and edit video, but I believe that software is Windows only. I use the Pinnacle software for capturing video, and I got Adobe Premier Elements to edit video or make a DVD.

Microsoft chose to stop selling shrink-wrapped "Retail" versions of Windows XP, effective June 30th. There will be copies available until stock is depleted.

However, you can still buy the "OEM version" of Windows XP, for system builders. Microsoft has not chosen to stop selling that package of WinXP.
