I don't have any good advice other than to use stock Tippmann internals. They work better than the others. Some after marker internals won't even fit into the Tippmann regardless what they claim. |

I'm assuming that you have a non-Platinum series 98. If so, you need to remove the powertube from the body by removing the two screws on the right body half. Then you have to hold the valve firmly in one hand and use a wrench to undo the gas line. Two important pointers:

got no platinum, got this one:
this is the new tube:
The new question is: Is it worth the work? Because i think i can`t get the gas line out of the valve and keep the original tube in one piece |

I dont trust that kinda "upgrade". What do they really offer? Its not plastic? Big deal, its an internal part, it isnt subject to any wear or damage.
Id say go back to the stock powertube. You got suckered. |

QFT Good catch Enos; I missed the "new powertube" part and concentrated on the mechanics of removing the hose. As said above, there is no reason to replace the stock powertube. |

I'm not a 98 guy but I've learned one thing from my A-5 work and research,
and found 2 things to be true, 1 Tippmann makes a lot of changes I know the A-5 valve has been updated a couple of times and most aftermarket power tubes aren't built to match the updated valve and doesn't work, and the ones that keep up to date still have issues, my JCS Red Hot tube for my A-5 worked great for about 3 games and now if I put it in the marker just freaks out like it's out of gas every shot, and I have 4 aftermarket bolts and none of them make any real improvement in my setup so I'd agree with the other guys and say go back to stock |
