Just picked this up from a forum in the UK. Belsales Evolution Autococker with a Race Frame running the new style board (leaf switch) and new noid up front. Finished in the old Shockwave colours with everything matching. Came with a Smartparts Progressive barrel, 2 data cables, serial to USB adaptor and UK mains charger along with what you see in the picture for £110 inc p+p. When it arrived it was quite sluggish, and while I was not expecting ultimate ROF I though it was a lil slow so downloaded RIP and took a look at the software. First problem was very old firmware in it, so I uploaded 4.0 for it (the latest for leaf switch) which came with new timing which has brough it to life as I'm assuming the previous owner didnt use a force fed hopper coz the open time was quite large. Ill have a video up on Wednesday (26th) to show it shotting but I like it a lot :) And many thanks to DeTrevni for helping out when I was in the buying process as this is my first cocker although I do like it quite a lot.

Man, you got that for a steal. It's beautiful!
Edit: Race > any other electro 'cocker frame. Glad you know how to work it! It seems managing a Race frame is a dying art these days... Edited by DeTrevni - 22 November 2008 at 2:59pm |

Wow, that's nice.
I'm not sure of the conversion rate, but it still sounds like you got that for cheap, great find. |

When I was downloading it I didnt see anything abut Vista but its worth a go, they say it was tested on XP and 2000 so it might work by chance? http://www.racegun.dk/downloads.html is the page you want. According to the interweb it cost $163 if that helps for price. Thanks for all the comments too, glad y'all like it. But on the "glad you know how to work it" topic, how do you change velocity? Ive read that people change out springs, change LPR, etc but whats the best way at the field? Can I just adjust the main reg coz that is what is actually propelling the ball isnt it? Unless im been dumb lol? Cheers again for and help and comments |

You can adjust the velocity 3 different ways.
First, and the most broad, is the springing. Depending on how you want your marker set up, you can change the valve spring and drive spring combination. You'll have to look this one up on your own, as there are so many different options, I couldn't tell you which is best. The best way to find a good spring combo is to experiment. Second is the IVG, which is the internal velocity adjuster. You remove your back block and cocking rod and rotate the "plug" you see in the lower tube inwards to increase velocity, or outwards to decrease velocity. Lastly, and best for fine-tuning, is adjusting the pressure through the HPR. More air equals more velocity. But there's some physics involved. Once you reach a certain point while turning up your pressure, the velocity will drop. This is due to too much pressure behind the valve, preventing it from opening. The maximum velocity is known as the regulator's sweet-spot, and this changes from marker to marker. |

Cool that all makes sense. The previous owner has been using it in games so guessing it gonna be somewhere near correct but like you say it might be giving the best performance although hopefully Belsales would send it out pretty well set up. Ive never heard of the IVG although by the way you describe it it is just turning up the main spring on hammer (like Spyder clone adjustments and RVA adjustment on a 98) which again makes sense. Like I said ill get a video up on Wednesday so y'all can see and you might have some suggestions on the way it running but not sure what you can tell from that. But thanks for that help on velocity, im trying to get hold of Belsales atm for a manual or anything like that which I imagine will help too. Cheers for all the comments, Mike. |

Yep, you got it! The IVG is essentially an internal rear velocity adjuster, changing the tension of the mainspring.

Read through some of the Moody Tech Articles, they'll help you with understanding a lot about your 'Cocker. They'll also help you set up your 'Cocker for best performance.

I certainly shall do. Well there is some more good news as it turns out it has a Rex Dialer kit installed too. Got in touch with Belsales and they replied really quickely (many thanks if you watching) and while they dont have a manual for the Evo they sent me the normal WGP manual and the same applies for it all. They never had a manual for the Evos they just sent them with a suppliment which said why the Evo was different! Also got the manual for the dialer kit from Belsales so now that is all wedged in my head I shall have to see if I can put theory into practice and tune it in. |
