I made it out of pine and I made the butt plate and trigger guard out of sheet metal,I bent and cut to fit right. The stock is the same board glued together in three seperate peices.

I don't think it looks too bad, but it would look better solid rather than with a hinge. Also, a more pronounced butt plate would help out I
think. |

Well done for a home made stock.

The hinge isnt quite what i wanted but its cool cause it opens up and i can pull two bolts and the hole thing comes out. and yes, its heavy but its worth it to me. The only thing that gave me trouble was getting the trigger system all worked out. and I like the idea about the bayonets i want one of those movie knives thats retractable, that would look sweet. Ive made three or four kits for my A5 in shop and I think Mr.Gould just likes to see what all come up with. |

I think im going to post my other stuff too not sure yet. I have my m1 and a ak kit made for a flatline and a crapy tompson kit and im working on a 1919 browning kit but its for my mr2. I could maybe stuff my a5 in there. |

I know M14s have a small metal piece around the front of the stock, look at them for possibilites. You should buy a cheap M14 airsoft magazine. You could probably make it a M14 or an M1. You could probably easily fool people too. FYI, M14=Modified M1 Garand anyway. Hell, with the same stock, and two barrels, and to mags, you can have an M1 Garand, M14, and M1 Carbine(mag fed M1, shorter barrel, and smaller caliber round)! |

SSOK your right the m14 and m1 are the same body but the m1 has a wood peice that extends pass the first one. I thought about putting a small metal plate on the front of it , but honestly I forgot about it. I have my grandpas old m1 I could post a pic. Thanks for the ideas

Stock looks great. It's by far more impressive to see someone craft something, rather than have money to buy all the parts to customize your pb gun. I have thought about the m1 for a pb for a while. get you a sling and a bayonet with mount from cheaperthandirt.com keep the realism. Again, outstanding job.
