Alright, so I am rapidly coming up on the first event for 2009 and man is it freaking cold!. Projected temps for Saturday in NE Ohio are going to be MAYBE high in the low 20's. Brrrr. So, for any of you guys out there that play in this crap a lot, what exactly do you wear?

I don't play in this crap alot, but I would just wear a bunch of layers.
It would probably include 2 or 3 tshirts. A longsleeve one. A hooded sweatshirt, and probably a non hooded sweatshirt. I would also use a beanie and put the mask on over my hood. I would wear my paintball pants with shorts or another pair of pants underneath. |

What event is here in NE Ohio? GRRR darn my broken ankle.... Anyway, depending on how cold it its, and I see it being 16 for a high here in North Royalton, I might even suggest some snow pants. It takes away from an aspect of the game, but, its better than getting wet and cold. Unless you have paintball pants and wear sweat pants under that. Its not as fun with snow pants, you barely feel it/rarely breaks paint and is hard to run in. Oh, and 2 pairs of socks. I usually roll with my baseball socks, theyre nice and thick.
For your upper half, ill just say what I have. Again, depending on how it is, I wear a dry-gear nike(fake underarmour) shirt to keep me getting sweaty. Then over that I have this Fleece, underarmour feeling athletic sweatshirt type of thing. No hood, but plenty warm. And to help with the wetness, I wear my jersey over it.
I usually wear a light winter hat, just for my ears. Be comfortable, thats the most comfortable things.
**edit** and NO big bulky boots. Theyre almost impossible to move in. Ive tried normal shoes, boots, and some of those military issue type of boots that are thinner but go up high for ankle support. Out of those, the military boots are best Edited by MeanMan - 20 January 2009 at 6:31pm |

I'm from western PA, so I know what you mean. I usually wear a under armor, t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, larger t-shirt, hooded sweat shirt, lightweight jacket. As for bottoms, usually a pair of long john's, flannel pajama bottoms, and some old jeans. For shoes, just some old work boots.

you meone at Battlefront then have fun out there. As for me when I play in this I usually wear an undershirt, underarmour, ski jacket, and an oversized camo jacket over that. For the bottoms I wear long undies, some sort of sport pant, snow pants, and again some camos. As for boots I picked up some solomans last year as an xmas present and they are super light and ridiculously warm. While it sounds like alot everything I have I paid for the thinner material that did the same thing just for this reason.

Used to wear BDUs, Longjohns, a few pairs of socks, boots, and if wet, bags on feet.
Top:Underarmor, two tees, flannel, and BDUs. Havent played in sub zero weather yet.
Check out M65 Field Jackets(with liner) too. I have one, and its like a light winter coat. Havent tried it in paintball yet.
