So, im slowly narrowing down my choices for my next gun. I have a job, so I can take money from my paycheck for this purchase. Since I want to hang onto this one longer than a year, Im having trouble deciding. Not only do a want a nice gun, but a good company that can help/replace parts when needed. So far, I know Dangerous Power has awesome customer service. My other choices are Bob Long, which I havent heard much about, and First Endeavor Paintball. (Obvious choices are an LE Fusion, 06 Timmy, and a Quest, unless something cheap and amazing comes out at Cup that I like). So far, it seems like FEP has Customer Service almost on par with DP, but, I only started looking into them recently. Anyone have any horror stories or happy stories with these companies? Thanks. I've never heard anything disparaging from FEP or DP. I did deal with Bob Long back in the day (late 90's) when I was a tech at a pro-shop in NY. My results with their customer service back then were mixed. It just depended on who you got on what day. Kinda like Shocktech was. You'd call up and if you got Rocky on a week day in the morning by 11am or in mid afternoon you were good. If you got him on a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon, forget about it. He'd be recovering from a hangover with the former or be high as a kite on the latter.

BLAST is a little too impersonal for my tastes. I haven't heard of any issues with the other two companies. |

Just wait a few months. All new markers, and the older models drop in price.

Its going to be hard waiting. Online, they have all their Quests + a Halo for $400. Brand new ones, for basically $300. |

Get a Shocker and I'll slug ya. Through the interwebs tubez. Yeah, I'm that bad.
But seriously, my suggestion goes to getting something with a decent line of aftermarket parts but is decent out of the box, and large enough to offer good support. I've always liked Intimidators, and as I understand it, BLAST is gonna offer a new Timmy soon, called the Protege, and it's supposed to be the lightest Timmy. Rumor has it, it's market price will be $500 as well... Just something to consider. |

Yeah, that means the '06s will drop even more. I thought the Protege was suppose to be $400s, and the Vice, the "better" version of it, is suppose to be more expensive. Well, expect more threads to come, thats all I have to say. And where did you see shocker in my post? I despise shockers. They look nice, but I hate them. |

I have to wonder how long some of these companies are really going to be around. Parts availability is a key factor for long-term guns. If it's just a flavor of the month you can flip a coin. |

A teammate of mine got the g3 and loves it. I will also have o agree with ammo. I have always loved the mini. Its a good gun that is light and fun to use. But the G3 is nice. He has had no problems with it so far and has had it for about a year or so.
