i got thew sickest idea today in sculpture class, i'm gonna use clay to make a ceramic barrel for my x7. Anybody with expeirence, i just need some suggestions and stuff, maybe some functionality ideas as well as looks. thanks

When they talk about Ceramic Barrels, they are referring to the ceramic coating if I am not mistaken. The barrel is still metal.

When they talk about Ceramic Barrels, they are referring to the ceramic coating if I am not mistaken. The barrel is still metal.

this is correct.  the entre barrel is NOT made of ceramic material.  the ceramics used in sculpture class would not have the same effect.  if you look at something that has been fired in the kiln it shrinks.  you would have alot of troule getting it perfectly straight, getting threadings to work, and it would not be as smooth on the inside.  Also the barrel itself would be heavy and weak.  a hit the wrong way would actually break it quite easily.  Not trying to just shoot you down just because but i have done some sculpture classes and i have seen what happens when firing somethin first hand and when bumping a sculpture just a little too hard.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...
