my A-5 is brand new and i have a response trigger, j&j ceramic barrel and after about every third shot a ball breaks and i cant seem to fix it... i lowered my velocity to a minimum and still does it so i raised it and there was no difference and was using cryptic paintballs and thats what i normally use... any suggestions of what might be wrong?

bad paint. Is it old? some paint that has been sitting for a while will start to break down the shell, causing what you described.

Try running some different paint.
They tremble at my name...

I'm having a similar problem running my super RT at high speeds.  It's driving me CRAZY.  In all honesty I don't think it's the paint (although it's a chance).  I'd say try dropping the paint on a hard surface, if it's bouncing from a foot or more off the surface, I don't think the paint is the problem.  How fast are you shooting the RT at when your having this problem?  Really fast?  Or just any speed at all?

Man...  Check out my recent post about "cyclone feed blender".  If it's like mine I go to shoot a burst and about 5 or so paintballs into it I get a broken paintball.  It's hapenning EVERYTIME I try, absolutely no matter WHAT I do.  It's driving me insane.  Wish I could help you man.

Yeah if the barrel is screwed in to far the rivet of the barrel could catch the paintball a little bit, and bust the ball inside the barrel of the paintball marker, thats why it is always a good thing to not over-tighten your barrel.

What "rivet" are you talking about?  I have three J&J barrels and can't find a rivet on any of them.  Screwing the barrel in too far can cause breakage issues though.  (I believe that it interferes with the bolt and leads to pinches.)  A tank o-ring around the barrel can serve as a good spacer so the barrel still fits tightly without going in to far.  (If the barrel fits loosely it can lead to accuracy/velocity problems.)

Dave, having read the advice you have offered in various places I would recommend that you learn a little more about the sport before offering any more.

so otherwards you are recomending to put a tank o-ring on the barrel

It's worth a try.  I had a similar breakage problem with a J&J on a 68 carbine I used to have.  After some experimentation I found that the issue completely disappeared after adding the tank o-ring.  (I'm guessing it acted as a "spacer" to properly position the barrel.)

I'm not sure if it will.  I have cyclone squishy paddles, and by the sound of his problem, it's something more than that.
