Definitely a barrel. The stock Tippy barrels aren't known for quality. For a good one-piece barrel, I'd suggest a Lapco Bigshot or a J&J Ceramic. I've personally used the ceramic, and I quite liked it. I haven't used the Lapco yet, but I've heard only good about them.

Three words...

Barrel, Barrel, Barrel :P

The first and best upgrade for any tippy.

Most people here will tell you for a mid range barrel you can't go wrong with J&J ceramic.

You can edit your posts in the post options drop down on the right.

Use it with the barrel and figure out what you want to upgrade.
You may want a stock, or a rate of fire upgrade, or something else.

I have an a-5 and didn't put a stock on it, because that's my preference, and instead upgraded the rate of fire.

Your next upgrade should be your own choosing and not a suggestion from someone else.

So go out and play for a little bit with a new barrel, then figure out what you think is missing, and what you want to add or improve.

Truth.  Too many people, including me, have bought a new marker, done tons of upgrades, only to find out that you don't like what you end up with. Play,  find your style and go with it from there. You may even find after a short amount of time that you don't want to upgrade what you have, and instead move up to another type/style of marker. One important thing to remember with Tippmanns, is that while they are workhorses and will last you a lifetime, their resell value sucks. If you ever go to sell your Tippmann marker, plan on getting 50% of what you have into it. This is one of the reasons that I primarily only buy used nowdays.

Good luck.

when I purchased my A-5 years ago, I got a package deal which came with the RT, collapsable stock and flatline barrel...  I loved the look and feel of it...

Since then I have purchased an AR 15 barrel shroud, a shroud for my flatline, etc.. ya know, to change up the look a bit

HPA is always a good option unless you dont have anywhere to fill it near you.  before you buy it make sure there is somewhere to get a fill.  If there is then I suggest HPA f you dont mind spending the money for a nice tank.
