X7 Velocity Varies Significantly

   I have an X7 with eTrigger.  I started having problems with my velocity varying a lot.

All of my X7's internals are stock.

I changed the orings, including both of the ones in the  valve assembly.  I did not change the one on the barrel adapter or the one inside the reciever at the cycle port.

In the oring kit, there were two orings that were the same size, but one was black and the other was the white poly type oring.  I wasn't sure which one went where, but since they were the same size as the ones I took off the outside of the valve and the rear bold, that's where I put them. 

When I chrono the marker, I'll 280 one shot and 310 then next shot, then back down to 285 or 290, then back high again.

I'm using HPA and I've tried two different tanks (a steel PMI Pure Energy with reactor II regulator and a Pure Energy with reactor III regulator).

Any thoughts on what may be causing this issue?

	If you had 100 psi swings I would tell you to remove grease from your valve and check your velocity screw. With the swings you are getting, you should check the paintballs you are using. Paintballs that are not sized the same can cause this kind of velocity swing. Using a larger bore barrel or higher quality balls can help.

	Thanks. My velocity screw is a very easy to turn, but I've put an allen wrench in it and held it in position with tape to make sure that wasn't the problem. Is there any way to "tighten" up the velocity screw (silicon, locktight, etc.) that won't give me other issues or do I just need to replace the power tube? I try using a larger fin on my hammer head barrel.

	you can use a little light weight lock tight but liquid thread tape or regular thread tape is better. Be VERY CAREFUL that you do not get debris in the valve.
