Hi there, my first post here on the forums and i need some adivce. My dad used to go paintballing a few years ago and now he gave me his Automag 68 because i want to get into the sport, it is in perfect condition and runs pretty good, but i'm just not too fond of it and want to get my own gun, does anyone have any suggestions for a good looking, reliable and not too dearer than £200? -Thanks. |

Keep the Automag. They are good reliable markers.

It's always good to be able to afford multiple markers. Ask Detrevni, he is the official Forum Gun Whore. In all seriousness, AGD makes great markers. They are very reliable and will serve you well. Stock ones may not be as flashy as some of the newer guns, but they will perform well. Check out the sites above and you will find lots of info on them.
Here's a shot of mine. It has become my primary over the 2 A5's and several 98's that I own. It's actually pretty basic, but it is truly an enjoyable marker to play with:

As the others have already said, Mags are great gun to have. They're easy to maintain and super reliable. The upgrade potential on them is also very high.

You might not even have to save up for a new marker. Mags are so modular, every piece is replaceable. You can just upgrade your Mag to whatever configuration you want. They have tactical bodies for the woodsballers, Ultralight Engineering bodies for the speedballers, and all kinds of custom stuff in between, like electronic and pneumatic frames.
OPBN: I don't know what it is, but there's something incredibly sexy about that Mag... Edited by DeTrevni - 27 March 2009 at 4:47pm |

Well we all want to be a gun whore right?
I'm looking at a Spyder Victor or Sonix, they seem to be reliable, and i like the price, since the only money i get at the moment is from my paper round D: |

I'll be totally honest with you my friend, Mags are "high end mechanical." They (along with quality autocockers) are just about THE highest quality mass produced mechs. Getting a Spyder, Tippmann, or pretty much anything else, will only be a down grade.
Of course, if you just absolutely want another gun, I certainly won't be the one to stop you. :) Edited by DeTrevni - 27 March 2009 at 5:13pm |

Thank you. It's funny how simple it is, but gets a lot of compliments.

Well guys i managed to find my camera and took a few pics, but now i've lost the lead to connect it to the comp so i'm gonna hev to look for that tomorrow.
And then i got bored so i decided to take my mag apart and i got it into about a million pieces, cleaned them all, put it back together, filled the tank up, no leaks and works perfectly, (i think). Now i just hope that i haven't forgot to add something... |
