Ever since I bought my x-7, it has chopped balls. I turned the velocity down all the way and it didn't help. I bought squishy paddles and they didn't do anything. I have bought every type of paintball my local stores sell and it has chopped them all, and I put the same balls through my 98C and my friend's A-5 without any trouble. I even have 4 different barrels. The stock barrel, a 1" pistol barrel with the same threading, a 12" j&j ceramic, and a flatline.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am out of ideas.

To clarify, the balls get chopped by the bolt, not by the cyclone or the barrel and tank pressure doesn't matter because I chopped a ball right before the tank went empty. Also, it chops about 1 out of every 30-40 balls.

If the ball gets chopped by the bolt like you said, it's a cyclone issue.
Try your friends A-5 Cyclone on it.

Use a stock front bolt too, if you aren't already.

I have the same issue with my x7. I have squishy paddles as well. Velocity down does not help either. I don't know what the issue is. I have noticed when i take the barrel off and have a ball in the chamber  it tends to move towards the cyclone system when tilted. Therefore the ball is not centered in the chamber. I don't know if this is normal. Seems wrong since you very seldom hold your gun straight up and down when playing. I have heard that HPA is a better set up for this gun. I have not tried that yet. I'm very frustrated any help would be great.

I don't know, but maybe it is associated with the ball detent.

I would just take it back to the seller and make them fix it or ask for a new one. I"m sure it's still under guarantee.

I totally agree with this and HPA is totally a better setup for this gun. Better accuracy and constant FPS.
