Is my solenoid defective? (e-bolt)

After many, many months, I am VERY close to being done with this project. It's stupid things like this that slow me down.
My solenoid (for a two-way ram) doesn't seem to be shutting off the air when the gun is fired. The ram will go forward to hit the valve and just stay there allowing all of my air to dump out of the valve. The only way to depressurize it is to remove the tank. I've changed the dwell from 5 to 30 and it doesn't make a difference. Any ideas?

increasing the dwell time would make the problem worse

rebuild the solenoid, check for debris that might be causing it to get stuck, if nothing you find nothing, id say its a board problem.

I started with the dwell at 18 then changed it to the extremes.

I've been inside of the solenoid 2 or three times. I didn't find anything that would hinder it. The board seems fine to me.

What kind of noid?
 
If the exaust port is tapped I'd say you have a barb in the exaust port.
something plumbing wise is off I think.

It's just a regular timmy noid. All the barbs are in the right place. The exhaust ports are unblocked, yet they don't exhaust...

The pictures in your sig link don't show the board. Is it a GTA or SB?

Try pulling the battery off when it's stuck forward. At least that will tell you if the noid is functioning.

It's actually a DM4 board. I haven't updated the pictures yet.
What should I expect to happen to the solenoid when I pull the battery?

If the solenoid is functiong correctly it should return the ram as the solenoid's
power is shut off.  If the ram did return with the battery pulled it would point to the board.
 
If it shuts off, next I would look for contact points where the board is touching the grip
frame, and tape them. After that if it continues, a new board.
 
It's sounding now like solenoid, hopefully not.

The board seems to be resetting after every trigger pull and I've already put hot glue on all of the contact points.  

The LAST thing I want to do is buy a new solenoid, although that seems to be my last and only option...

I discovered something interesting: a new battery drained overnight. When I attach a new battery, I can hear the solenoid clicking. Maybe it is in/near the board...
