Cube

I was just finished lunch on Sunday and as I was on my way to my car, I saw one of these in the parking lot:



It's a 2009 Nissan Cube. Here's a 360 degree view of it. It looks freaking weird and futuristic, but I think its cool.

I don't doubt it.  I don't HATE it, but i certainly wouldn't pick it out of a lineup.

Actually I may be buying a Cube. I am in the market for a small econobox. The XB makes me sad because of the "United by Individuality" and everyone has one around here. The Kia Soul is a nice car, but it is a crossover trying to be a sub-compact. Interior was nice, but the outside felt cheap.... Like a Kia....

The cube felt really good while driving, going to test drive the manual version with the 6 speed standard. The outside was solid, the engine has a great track record so far, the interior is top notch seats come almost straight from the top of the line nissan.
The wrap around window is freakin amazing while parking. Safetly features alone is worth buying this sub-compact over the other two.

That being said... Yes, this car is ugly as sin... But i would describe it as our generations gremlin. Kinda ugly, but a pretty good car underneath. The price is pretty darn good as well.

I loved driving the Xb. That car has awesome cargo space.

The reason you don't see the amount of gremlins as you would think is because of the fact that it is ugly. It had the specs of a musclecar but the body of and ogre.

To be honest I did look around for other cars, but not a big fan of mazda. The only Subaru I like is the WRX, which is well above my price range. Mini coopers are neat, safe, and sporty, but overly expensive. This is the same for the Jetta sport wagon I do so love. And FYI, never been in an accident or even ticketed. I am a great driver, the window is just a plus. Kinda diggin the a-symetry too. Pretty much any window you see on cars now days are completely one off anyway. And to be honest they do not have any strange curves to them at all that makes production expensive.

This car has been around for 10 years, obviously thay are doing something right.

I don't mind being laughed at, sporx can contest to that. And if I am still laughed at as I walk away from a horrific crash. Im ok with that too.

Will I buy one? Depends on how the clutch and shifting feels in the manual. Will I enjoy the ride because it is comfortable, roomy, economical, inexpensive, and fun to drive. You betcha.

To be honest I first looked into the Chevy Comero(complete opposite of this car), Love the car. And would be more than wiling to make a larger downpayment to be able to afford the monthly. Unfortunatly being under 25 and male tends to jack up insurance rates.

If you all can find me an under $14,500 within a 4000 downpayment that my insurance rates are low, and is safe to drive. And not a sedan, not sure why... just don't like them. I will be more than willing to check it out. I do love taking test drives
